The National Police predicts that the number of vehicles returning home on Eid al-Adha will experience a significant decline in line with the implementation of Emergency PPKM in Java-Bali.
The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police, Inspector General of Police Istiono, said that the decline in the number of vehicles is expected to occur because the public has begun to become aware of and comply with the Emergency PPKM rules set by the Central Government throughout Java and Bali.
According to Istiono, the National Police did not stop socializing with the community so that they would not return to their hometowns as long as the Emergency PPKM was implemented on Eid Al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah. “Hopefully it will decrease because we have continued to socialize it,” said the Head of Traffic Police on Monday (7/19/2021).
Separately, the Head of Operations at Korlantas Polri, Kombes Pol. Rudy Antariksawan, said that his party would still carry out insulation at a number of entrances and exits to DKI Jakarta. “We are still blocking the return flow at KM 47 Cikampek toll road towards Jakarta by the Karawang Police,” explained the Head of Ops.
To note, in an effort to prevent community mobility, 1,038 isolation points have been established on the islands of Java, Bali and Lampung.
Towards Eid al-Adha, 27 toll exits to Central Java were closed to prevent travelers from coming. Action against illegal travel is also carried out to dispel residents who want to go home.
