BRENTFORD — Brentford’s attacking line has emerged as one of the most dangerous in the Premier League this season, becoming the first club to have three players with double-digit goals.
The Bees showcased their firepower once again in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Manchester United at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday evening (May 4, 2025). Despite falling behind early to a 14th-minute goal by Mason Mount, Brentford staged an impressive comeback to seal all three points.
Luke Shaw’s own goal brought the score level at 1-1 in the 27th minute, before Kevin Schade put the hosts in front just six minutes later. In the second half, Schade added his second goal in the 70th minute, followed by Yoane Wissa’s strike in the 74th minute to make it 4-1.
Manchester United mounted a late comeback through goals by Alejandro Garnacho (82’) and Amad Diallo (95’), but Brentford held on to claim a memorable win. The victory marked their 15th of the season, equaling their best-ever Premier League campaign in 2022/2023.
The win was powered by Brentford’s dynamic trio: Kevin Schade, Yoane Wissa, and Bryan Mbeumo. Schade recently reached the 10-goal mark, while Wissa and Mbeumo lead the team with 18 goals each in the league.
Together, the three have scored 44 goals — accounting for roughly three-quarters of Brentford’s total goals in the Premier League this season. Their collective output has been instrumental in the club’s historic run and growing reputation as a mid-table powerhouse.
