JAKARTA – The National Police admitted that they would consider granting permission for the 212 grand reunion crowd planned to take place in the Horse Statue area, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta on December 2, 2021.
Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said that a crowd permit could be issued by the National Police as long as it received recommendations from various related parties.
“What will be discussed later is licensing with these activities, if we talk about licensing, of course it’s not necessarily the task of the Police, before issuing a crowd permit, the Police must ask for recommendations from various parties related to these activities,” said Rusdi at Headquarters Police, Jakarta, Monday (29/11/2021).
Rusdi explained that the recommendations would later be issued by the owner of the place where the reunion was held up to the Covid-19 Task Force.
“Obviously the Police need a recommendation or permission from the owner of the place where the activity will be carried out, there must be a recommendation or permission from the owner of the place. Second, with a pandemic situation like this. Of course, the Police also asked for recommendations from the Covid-19 Task Force, “he said.
Furthermore, he added that if the recommendation has been issued by various related parties, the National Police will consider issuing a permit for the crowd of activities.
“If these permits, these recommendations have been issued by the relevant agencies, the National Police will consider granting permits for these activities,” he said.
