REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GORONTALO — The level of attainment of vaccination in Gorontal Province is still below 70 percent. To accelerate the target of herd immunity, it is necessary to accelerate vaccination in this province.
Therefore, all ranks of the Resort Police in the Gorontalo Regional Police were mobilized to mobilize residents to take the time to be vaccinated. “The task of Bhabinkamtibmas must be increased so that people want to come to the Police booth to be vaccinated,” said Gorontalo Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Dr Akhmad Wiyagus in a press release received by Republika.co.id, Monday (30/8).
According to Wiyagus, the Polri vaccine outlets spread across the Gorontalo Regional Police are ready to serve the community. He has instructed his staff to assist the government in accelerating vaccination of the public.
“We ask for prayers and support from colleagues for the Forkopimda of Gorontalo Province to help the Gorontalo Police to make the mass vaccination program a success,” said the former Investigator of the Indonesian KPK.
To motivate his personnel, Wiyagus went directly to the field by checking all the Polres in the Gorontalo Regional Police. Every day, the number one person in the Gorontalo Regional Police inspects the vaccination activities organized by the National Police by cooperating with all elements of society.
The vaccinations reviewed by the Kapolda start from the level of students, university students, working groups, to the general public. “The Gorontalo Regional Police will not tire of carrying out vaccinations for Gorontalo residents, for the sake of Gorontalo being healthy and free from Covid 19,” he said.
Last weekend, Saturday (28/8) the Gorontalo Regional Police held a mass Vaisination at Karya Field, Datahu Village, Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency. Then a similar activity was continued in the office yard of Buhu Village, Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency.
Hundreds of residents in this village enthusiastically participated in the vaccination which was attended by the Regent of Gorontalo, Prof. H. Nelson Pomalingo. “Thank you for the participation of the people who have participated in the mass vaccination program,” he added.
The Regent of Gorontalo appreciated the mass vaccination activities carried out by the Gorontalo Regional Police. He hopes that this vaccination will continue to be carried out so that it can touch all people in the area.
“We really appreciate this mass vaccination activity. We hope this mass vaccination can touch all the people of Gorontalo Regency,” he said.
On Sunday (29/8), Wiyagus reviewed three mass vaccination activities. These include the Brimob Sat, the Gorontalo Police State Police School (SPN), and the Telaga Jaya Police. In this vaccination, hundreds of people were vaccinated by implementing strict health protocols.
