Joint officers from the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and the Banjarmasin City Transportation Agency conducted insulation at a number of entrances in Banjarmasin City.

A number of points, such as Jalan A Yani Kilometer 6, the Birgjen Hasan Basri Roundabout and the Checkpoint for the South Ring Road, were strictly insulated and officers and the health team randomly assigned antigens to residents passing through the road area.

The Mayor of Banjarmasin, Ibnu Sina, who also monitored the inspection at the Kilometer 6 Post, said that in the operation tonight his party provided 250 samples.

“Earlier, we examined 10 samples and, Alhamdulillah, none of the results were positive,” he said Tuesday (8/24/2021).

With this isolation effort, he hopes that the people of Banjarmasin can always comply with health protocols.

“Earlier, we still met people who were not wearing masks. We urge the public to always comply with health protocols to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 in Banjarmasin, “said Ibnu Sina.

Meanwhile, the Wakapolresta Banjarmasin Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Sahbana Atmojo, said that the sampling effort was carried out randomly on outsiders who entered the city of Banjarmasin.

“We take randomly to road users who cross the entrance to the City of Banjarmasin,” he said.

He also hopes that the implementation carried out by isolation and random sampling can make the public aware of health protocols, in order to suppress the rate of Covid-19 in Banjarmasin.

“We hope that this activity can suppress the spread of the Covid-19 virus and community mobility,” he explained.

Sahbana also invites the community to be in the midst of implementing PPKM level IV in Banjarmasin at this time, all levels of society can support all policies and rules that have been set by the government.

“Let’s support this government policy by maintaining and obeying health protocols and the rules for implementing PPKM in Banjarmasin,” he added.

In addition, the head of the Banjarmasin City Service, Machli Riyadi, said that if there were residents who tested positive for antigen, they would be educated and then isolated independently.

“We ask for self-isolation, then we will trace his close contacts,” he said.
