Suara.com- The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali, said that the government fully supports the 2021/2022 League 1 title which will roll on August 20. However, with a note that the health protocol (prokes) is complied with in accordance with the provisions.
This is after Zainudin Amali heard the presentation made by PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as operators in the coordination meeting agenda on Friday (6/8/2021). The coordination meeting was also attended by representatives of the National Police Headquarters and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
Amali said that what was explained by PSSI and PT LIB was responded to by both the BNPB and the police. Therefore, in this case, the government supports running competitions with a record.
“We conclude that this league title is important and the government supports it, but there are tightened prokes conditions,” said Zainudin Amali in a virtual press conference on Friday (6/8/2021).
“If the police ask for a recommendation, I will give it. No one objected earlier, but there are records that must be obeyed,” he explained.
Amali continued what was presented by PSSI and PT LIB. It was very good. In fact, it was stated that the Menpora Ministers of both parties would run the competition with a more stringent process than the 2021 Menpora Cup.
“In relation to the implementation of the league, everyone views that even during a pandemic, the government is of the view that it can not stop activities, including the league. We already had experience in the pre-season (Menpora Cup) and it was a success, “he continued.
“It means we can. If we can’t afford it, we can’t, so it’s not as successful as the pre-season. Because we have the ability to work in conditions that are extra ordinary, the implementation is successful. “
“Indeed, the difference is if the tournament is short, the competition is long. From the explanation earlier, PSSI and PT LIB are very ready. It will even be tougher than the last Menpora Cup, “he concluded.
Previously, PSSI, PT LIB, and 18 Liga 1 2021/2022 clubs had agreed that the kick-off of the competition would start on August 20. As for Liga 2, it’s possible two to three weeks later.
