West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Ady Wibowo released 700 health volunteers to help administer vaccines to residents to support the acceleration program for the COVID-19 vaccination movement.
“These are volunteers in the health sector to carry out vaccinations in West Jakarta. This is related to Pak Kapolda’s program for an independent vaccine, “said the Chief of Police at the West Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on Monday.
The police chief said that before being released, all these volunteers had been given motivation and input so that they could serve the community optimally.
The West Jakarta Metro Police Chief also appreciated the volunteers for being willing to sacrifice their time and energy to help make the government’s program related to mass vaccination a success.
According to Kombes Pol. Ady Wibowo, this volunteer with a medical background will serve the community on the sidelines of his main activities.
“These volunteers will work in their spare time. We can’t confirm today here because they try to do Dharma filial piety in between breaks,” explained the Chief of Police.
With the help of these 700 volunteers, the Police Chief hopes that all residents of West Jakarta have been vaccinated so as to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
“West Jakarta’s target of 41,000 vaccinations per day means that we hope that August 17 will 100 percent support the government in vaccination,” said the Police Chief.
Previously, the Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran said that his party launched the “Free Vaccination” movement in order to welcome the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia this year to help accelerate national vaccinations, especially in DKI Jakarta.
“Internally, we are rolling out Independent Vaccination. Hopefully, our efforts and goals can be realized in order to achieve herd immunity in DKI Province and, of course, in buffer areas that are under the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya, “said Inspector General of Police Fadil Imran while visiting the vaccination booth at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Saturday (24/7).
