JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – National Police Chief (or a.k.a Kapolri) Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo has instructed all ranks of the regional police (polda) to accelerate the distribution of social aid (bansos) for residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
This he conveyed during a working visit to the PPKM Command Post in Turangga Village, Lengkong, Bandung, West Java, Friday (16/7/2021). TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto was also present on the occasion.
“In implementing this emergency PPKM, help the community seriously. Collect data and immediately distribute aid. Give the best service to the community,” Sigit said as quoted by Antara, Friday.
He said, apart from Polri personnel, this instruction also applies to TNI personnel.
Sigit also hopes that the social aid from the government distributed by TNI-Polri personnel can benefit the people who receive it.
The National Police Chief appealed to the public not to leave their homes unless it was urgent.
“There is assistance from the government that was delivered by the TNI and Polri. Pleased to be accepted, hopefully it can be used to the maximum. We urge you not to go anywhere during Emergency PPKM,” he said.
In addition, the National Police Chief and the TNI Commander also reviewed the mass vaccination activity at the Arcamanik Youth Center, Bandung.
Sigit said the TNI-Polri continued to coordinate with local governments to carry out Covid-19 vaccinations.
