POLRI KORLANTAS – Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri Inspector General Pol Istiono conveyed an evaluation of the results of the 2021 Ketupat operation during the implementation of blocking the elimination of homecoming since May 6. Kakorlantas said that the socialization effect of eliminating homecoming and isolation was one of the factors that decreased the number of travelers.
“I convey the analysis and evaluation during the 8 days of national ketupat operation 2021. I conveyed that the ketupat operation in 2021 on the 8th day, the volume of the homecoming flow yesterday went down to Java about 74 percent, going to West Java fell 100 percent, towards Merak dropped 45 percent, “said the Police Headquarters of the Police Inspector General of the Istiono Police in Gadog, Puncak, Bogor, West Java, Friday (14/5/2021).
Kakorlantas said analysis data from the Ministry of Transportation had estimated that 23 million people would go home. However, from the latest data he received from the Ministry of Transportation, 1.5 million people left the Jabodetabek area.
Kakorlantas revealed the effectiveness of the socialization of eliminating homecoming during safety operations from April 24 to May 5. In addition, the insulation at 381 points is also considered as a preventive effort that has been running optimally.
“This means that public awareness is good and our steps to take preventive measures through socialization and isolation in the field are very effective for us to do,” he said.
Furthermore, Kakorlantas also revealed the number of vehicles that were turned around during the elimination of the homecoming. A total of 600 thousand vehicles were turned over due to indications of going home. Meanwhile, 600 Travel was illegal.
“In total for 8 days we turned around 600 thousand vehicles. There are 600 vehicles, “he concluded.
It is known that Korlantas Polri has prepared 381 insulating points to support the policy of eliminating homecoming on 6-17 May 2021. Now Korlantas Polri is focused on securing the return flow of Eid 2021.
