Indonesian National Police Chief Appoints New Regional Commanders in Latest High-Ranking Officer Reshuffle

Jakarta – National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has carried out a significant reshuffle involving several high-ranking officers. This includes the replacement of the Regional Police Chiefs (Kapolda) for East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

The rotation and reassignment of positions were detailed in an official telegram, numbered ST/1084/V/KEP./2025, dated May 20, 2025. As part of the changes, Inspector General Didik Agung Widjanarko has been appointed as the new Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, while Inspector General Rudi Darmoko takes over as the new NTT Police Chief.

Previously, Inspector General Didik Agung Widjanarko served as Deputy for Supervision and Coordination at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Inspector General Rudi Darmoko had been serving as Head of the Police Education and Training Institute’s (Lemdiklat) Sespim (Police Staff and Command School).

Meanwhile, Inspector General Dwi Irianto, who formerly held the position of Southeast Sulawesi Police Chief, has been reassigned as a senior officer at the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police. Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga, the former NTT Police Chief, has now been appointed as Head of Sespim at Lemdiklat Polri.

According to the Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the reshuffle is part of a routine organizational refresh aimed at strengthening institutional performance.

“This move is part of a regular organizational refresh process to enhance the effectiveness, professionalism, and performance of the National Police in serving the public,” said Trunoyudo on Wednesday (May 21, 2025).
