Jakarta — Indonesia’s state electricity company, PT PLN (Persero), is offering a 50 percent discount on electricity upgrade services throughout May 2025. The promotion is part of the National Awakening Day commemoration under the theme “Rise Brighter.”
The discount is specifically available for electricity capacity upgrade services and applies only to PLN customers who registered before May 1, 2024.
PLN’s Director of Retail and Commerce, Edi Sri Mulyanti, stated that the program is a token of appreciation for loyal customers and part of PLN’s commitment to enhancing public convenience in electricity usage.
“Embracing the spirit of National Awakening Day, the Rise Brighter power upgrade promo is designed to offer a more comfortable electricity experience by making it easier for customers to upgrade their power capacity,” said Edi in an official statement on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Promo Period and Eligibility
The 50 percent discount promo is valid for 13 days, starting from Saturday, May 10, 2025, until Friday, May 23, 2025. This was announced via PLN’s official Instagram account @pln_id.
The promotion is available to customers across all single-phase tariff categories with upgrade options up to 5,500 VA.
How to Claim the Discount Voucher
To claim the discount, customers must apply via the PLN Mobile app by following these steps:

Download the PLN Mobile app (if not already installed).

Open the app and select the “Power Change” menu.

Click “Start,” then select or input the customer ID.

Complete the location details and select the new desired capacity.

Choose the connection type (prepaid/postpaid) and electricity usage purpose.

Enter the application details and input the promo voucher code.

Agree to the terms and conditions and proceed to payment.

Select a payment method and complete the transaction until the successful payment notification appears.
