Taking place at the Riau Islands Police Ceremony Field, a ceremony to commemorate the 41st Anniversary of the Security Unit (Satpam) in 2022 was held which was led directly by the Kabaharkam Polri Komjen Pol. Drs. Arief Sulistyanto, M.Sc. on Wednesday (January 2, 2022).

The introduction of the new uniform color of the security guard is part of the socialization to the community. Previously, the National Police had informed the plan to change the color of the security guard uniform to beige since mid-January 2022.
The reason for the change in the color of the security guard’s uniform is because the uniform currently used is similar to the uniform of members of the National Police. This similarity creates confusion in the community, which makes it difficult to distinguish between police and security guards.
Security guard is a profession carrying limited police functions. So it is necessary to have their own identity that is different from the Police as the coach.
“The National Police first conduct an assessment regarding the change in the color of the new security guard uniform, the security guard uniform can only be used after the Perpol No. 2 of 2020 concerning Pamswakarsa has been revised.
