Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya assigned 3,385 personnel to prevent the Jokowi End Game demonstration at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, Saturday, July 24, 2021. Thousands of personnel have been on guard since 07.00.
“Thousands of personnel are a combination of the National Police, the TNI, and the Regional Government,” said Head of the Operational Bureau of the Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Marsudianto when contacted, Saturday, July 24, 2021.
The thousands of personnel were not only on guard around the Merdeka Palace. However, also around the DPR RI Building.
The invitation to the Jokowi End Game demonstration was first spread through social media. In the poster, online motorcycle taxi drivers and the community are expected to take to the field to reject the implementation of PPKM. The masses are planning to conduct a long march from Glodok to the State Palace.
“Inviting all elements of society! To take to the streets to reject PPKM and destroy the palace oligarchy and its staff.” That’s the appeal on the Jokowi End Game action poster.
The poster contains the logos of several online motorcycle taxi applicators as well as student alliances and trade unions as participants in the action.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Fadil yesterday held a meeting with representatives of online motorcycle taxi drivers. On that occasion, Fadil appealed to them not to participate in the Jokowi End Game demonstration.
