JAKARTA – Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has decided to dismiss Bank DKI’s IT Director, Amirul Wicaksono, following a recent service disruption at the regional bank. The position has now been filled by the General Affairs Director, Agus Haryoto Widodo, effective Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Pramono cited the decision to remove Amirul due to service issues experienced by customers. Previously, numerous customers complained that they were unable to conduct online transactions starting on the night before Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri, on March 30, 2025.
Pramono noted that this was not the first time such an issue had occurred at Bank DKI. “This is not the first incident at Bank DKI. It’s the third time, and the cases are very similar—where IT systems were not managed or monitored properly,” Pramono said during a visit to the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) building on Wednesday, April 10, 2025, as quoted by Antara.
He also revealed that there had been a financial leak, although he did not disclose the amount. “To be honest, there was a financial leak. The amount is known by Bank DKI’s board of directors,” he said.
To Be Pursued Legally
Given that similar incidents have occurred three times, Pramono stated that the matter would be reported to the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police. “We have also requested an international independent institution—its name will be disclosed by the Bank DKI board—to carry out an audit, tracing, and monitoring of the issue,” he added.
He emphasized that no party should interfere with the process. He warned that any internal interference from Jakarta’s provincial government would not be tolerated. “This is being done to build public trust and assure the public that they are not being negatively impacted,” he said.
Pramono also guaranteed the safety of customer funds at Bank DKI. “We assure all Bank DKI customers, at any branch, that their funds are safe and guaranteed by Bank DKI,” he concluded.
