Idnaround.com – The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) through the SNPMB Committee Team held an online socialization regarding the 2024 SNBT mechanism. Present at this socialization were Prof. Rina Indiastuti as Deputy Chair 1 of the Team Responsible for the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB), Mrs. Rahmawati as Deputy Chief Executive of SNPMB, Prof. Ir. Arif Djunaidy, M.Sc., Ph.D., as SNPMB Technology and Information Systems Coordinator, Dr. Ismaini Zain, M.Sc., as SNPMB Public Relations and Promotion Coordinator, and attended by participants consisting of high school/equivalent students throughout Indonesia, teachers, education staff, and parents.
This activity was started by Prof. Rina explained the current situation, namely that participants who are registering for SNBP will only be able to register for UTBK-SNBT on March 26 2024. The aim is to avoid the problem of not registering again and follow the latest 2024 SNBT rules.
For those who have passed or passed the SNBP on March 26, please re-register. Because if you don’t re-register then the opportunity to enter SNBT or the independent route will be closed. “So, on this occasion, we remind those who are lucky to pass the SNBP, please re-register,” he said.
Then he emphasized that participants do not need to worry about the 2024 SNBT-UTBK quota. Regarding the UTBK-SNBT applicant quota, he explained that the total capacity of the three national selection routes, both SNBP, SNBT and the independent route, is 589,442 students.
“The SNBP route uses a 20% quota or around 166,460 students, while the SNBT route has the largest city, namely 246,667 participants. “Finally, the independent route has a quota of 176,316, but the implementation is left to each university,” he said.
This activity was continued with an explanation of the procedures for selecting the UTBK-SNBT study program by Rahmawati. It was explained that the most recent differences were mainly related to the choice of study programs with a maximum of 4 choices. He said that in 2022 the selection process between undergraduate and applied undergraduate programs will be separate. However, in 2024 the process will be integrated through one door.
“So once you register you can choose whether you want to study for a bachelor’s degree, a D4 applied bachelor’s degree or a diploma III degree. In 2022, students were only given two choices, and in polytechnic selection students were given two choices. “When this is together, the choices can also be integrated, which is what is currently being offered,” he said.

He also explained the registration stages, registration mechanisms, and obstacles and solutions that can be implemented when registering for UTBK-SNBT.
