IDNAround – Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI Zulkifli Hasan was elected as the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia replacing the position previously occupied by Muhammad Lutfi.
Member of Commission VII DPR RI, Mulyanto, hopes that Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is called, can resolve the chaotic increase in the price of cooking oil.
Zulhas, continued the Deputy Chair of the PKS Faction, is also expected to be truly professional and not selective in solving this cooking oil problem.
“This government still owes a promise to the public to reduce the price of migrant workers according to the highest retail price. In fact, two weeks ago, the president emphatically promised to reduce the price of migrant workers. In fact, until today, the price of migrant workers is still above the highest retail price (HET),” Mulyanto told reporters, on Wednesday (June 15, 2022).

He emphasized that Minister Zulhas must be able to help the president fulfill his promise to reduce the price of migrant workers. “Don’t even follow in making promises, but in the end, you want to abolish bulk migraines,” he said.
For information, President Joko Widodo officially inaugurated ministerial and deputy ministerial candidates for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the remaining term of office for the 2019-2024 period at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (June 15, 2022).
Ministers are appointed based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 64P of 2022 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the Period of 2019-2024.
The appointed ministers are:
1. Zulkifli Hasan as Minister of Trade
2. Hadi Tjahjanto as Minister of ATR/BPN
Meanwhile, the appointed deputy ministers are:
1. King Juli Antoni as Deputy Minister of ATR
2. John Wempi Wetipo as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.
3. Afriansyah Noor as Deputy Minister of Manpower.
