The Menteng Sub-district Health Center prepared 50 doses of the third vaccine or booster at the launch of the Covid-19 Booster Vaccination for the general public, in Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/1/2022).
Head of the Menteng Sub-district Health Center, Rusmala Dewi, explained that his party was still waiting for the availability of the Covid-19 vaccine, both AstraZeneca and Moderna types from the DKI Jakarta Health Service.
“We are also still waiting for the logistics first. The dose for today, if it is ready, we will 50 (dose) first because the team is also limited,” Dewi said when confirmed by Antara.
Dewi explained that currently the availability of vaccines for the Booster Vaccination program is the AstraZeneca and Moderna types.
The Covid-19 booster vaccination is planned to be carried out at the Gondangdia RPTRA, which is located on Jalan Probolinggo, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Dewi said the booster vaccine dose was limited because health workers at the Menteng District Health Center were also still vaccinating children aged 6-11 years in schools.
“The team is returning to all schools, only later this afternoon when the vaccine is ready, we will inform the cross-sector,” said Dewi.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared all puskesmas to serve the third dose of vaccination (booster) with priority for the elderly (elderly) starting Wednesday.
The requirement to get the vaccination is that it has been more than six months after the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine has been injected.
The implementation of this third vaccination is a follow-up to the government’s policy to make the third dose of Covid-19 vaccine free for all Indonesians.
