In order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and security during Christmas and New Year (Nataru), Assistant Operations to the National Police Chief Inspector General Pol Imam Sugianto and Police Headquarters Inspector General Pol Firman Santyabudi held assistance at the Pejagan toll gate service post, Brebes, Saturday (12/25/2021) morning.
Welcoming the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi and key officials, Asops and Head of Traffic Police gave directions regarding Nataru’s security to the former Head of Pekalongan Police and a number of Central Java Police officers.
Asops, Inspector General Imam Sugianto expressed his appreciation for the security and service innovations carried out by the Central Java Regional Police in the context of the 2021 temple candle operation. Asops also appreciated the achievement of Central Java vaccination which exceeded the national target with a total of 76.9 percent.
Meanwhile, Head of Traffic Police, Firman in his directive, emphasized that Nataru’s security was a momentum for the Police. “The moment of securing Nataru is the National Police’s momentum to show its performance in serving the community. For this reason, members must be ready and do not violate anyone,” said Kakorlantas.
According to him, handling community mobility during the Nataru holiday requires coordination of all parties between toll road managers and the local government.
“The Central Java area is a focus area for people moving from Jakarta to East Java and vice versa. They gather in Central Java to rest before continuing their journey,” said Firman.
More than that, Firman asked the ranks to be vigilant, considering that this community gathering invites the potential for the spread of Covid in the rest area.
“So the service post on the toll road does not only provide security and services to the community, including the enforcement of health procedures. But it is also equipped with vaccination booths,” he added.
The Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi, emphasized that the Central Java Police implemented integrated security at each service post. The security control center is located at the Post GT Pejagan Brebes and Pos Kalikangkung, Semarang.
“Members are also required to be alert regarding Nataru’s security, both in securing traffic flow and preventing potential criminal disturbances. The point is that the Central Java Police are optimal to provide guarantees for the community during Nataru,” said Luthfi.
