The Traffic Police Corps (Korlantas) will hold Candle Operations from December 23, 2021 to January 1, 2022. Many transportation plans have been prepared for Christmas and New Year’s (Nataru) safety operations.
Director of Enforcement (Dirgakkum) Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol Aan Suhanan stated that the government did not impose vehicle restrictions.
However, various ways are still being done to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
“If there are still residents who are forced to return to their villages, we will escort them and prepare transportation plans to promote community activities,” said Aan from the NTMC Police in Kawan, Jakarta, Tuesday (21/12/2021).
In addition, in case of prolonged traffic jams, reverse and one-way solutions will also be applied. Aan also stated that his party would deploy Etle Mobile to monitor the behavior of motorists.
“I appeal to prospective travelers who use vehicles to continue to pay attention to the applicable traffic signs so that people can safely and comfortably get to their destination and return to Jakarta also smoothly and comfortably,” he said.
On this occasion, Brigadier General Aan released the Regional Observer Officer Team (Pamatwil). The team will be spread throughout Indonesia for the implementation of the 2021 Candlelight Operation.
“We are leaving Pamatwil from Korlantas today to provide assistance, then for supervision, and to be a referee during the implementation of activities,” said Aan.
Meanwhile, the Korlantas Polri deployed around 40 vehicles for this Candle Operation.
The dozens of vehicles are divided into the West route to Jakarta, Merak to Sumatra, then the Cikampek route to Semarang Solo, then the Cipularang route, and the southern route to Yogjakarta.
