National Police Chief General of Police, Dr Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc. reviewing the implementation of the Accelerated Simultaneous Vaccination throughout Indonesia.
“We have just carried out several series of activities to accelerate vaccination. Thank God, especially in Gorontalo, the results have exceeded 70% and I appreciate it,” said the National Police Chief, Thursday (16/21/12/1).
This result, said the National Police Chief General of Police Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., cannot be separated from the hard work and cooperation of all policy makers in the regional government, the National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and all levels of society. Vaccination results should be maintained and improved in the future.
The National Police Chief, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., said that the simultaneous vaccination in 34 provinces of Indonesia was carried out as an effort to achieve the 70 percent target as expected by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). According to him, all kinds of efforts and strategies are carried out to meet these targets.
“This is our target because the Government, Mr. President, has asked us in all regions, especially those whose vaccination achievement has not reached 70 percent, to continue to be pushed with various strategies. So it is hoped that by the end of December everything will be at 70 percent,” said the National Police Chief.
The National Police Chief, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., also said that there are indeed some areas where the vaccination achievement has reached 90 to 100 percent. However, there are also areas where vaccination achievement is still below 50 percent.
Therefore, the former Banten Police Chief reminded the TNI-Polri personnel along with other stakeholders to work together to accelerate vaccination. Moreover, said the National Police Chief, at this time, the Government through the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has announced that the new variant of Covid-19, Omicron, has entered Indonesia.
In addition to accelerating vaccination, the National Police Chief, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., asked the public to continue to comply with the health protocols (prokes) to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant. Along with the acceleration of vaccination in order to realize communal immunity.
“Of course we have to be more vigilant and still obey the health protocols because this Omicron is five times faster in transmission. So that acceleration of vaccination must be carried out, especially in areas where vaccination is still below. It is the duty of all of us to achieve and catch up with this gap and maintain the achievements that have been obtained thanks to the hard work of all stakeholders together with the community,” said the National Police Chief.
Furthermore, he wants the current good numbers such as the positivity rate, reproduction and hospital BOR to be maintained. That way, the National Police Chief said, would have a positive impact on economic growth in Indonesia.
Currently, said the National Police Chief, Police General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., Indonesia has started to improve economic growth, where in the third quarter yesterday it was 3.5 to 4.5. Previously it was numbered 7 and it is expected that in Q4 it will fall between 4.5 to 5.5.
“This can be done if the rate of Covid-19 can really be maintained as it is now,” said the National Police Chief.

“So we take care together and this is our bet. The stakes are facing major events organized by our country such as the holding of the G20 presidency. How can we encourage economic growth by attracting investment, and one of them can happen when we can really control the pace of Covid-19,” said the National Police Chief.
