Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Indonesian National Police to oversee the activities of the G20 Presidency which will take place in Bali in 2022.
Jokowi does not want the slightest explosions to disrupt the implementation of the G20 Presidency.
“Don’t let the slightest explosions related to our chairmanship at the G20. There are 150 meetings in this G20 activity. Big meetings,” said Jokowi at the Candi Ballroom, The Apurva Kempinski Hotel, Badung Regency, Bali Province, on Friday (12/3/2021).
The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that the G20 Presidency is the face of Indonesia in front of the big countries.
Moreover, Indonesia is the first developing country to chair the G20.
“We need to guard it, namely the G20 Presidency. This is the face of Indonesia and we are the first developing country to become the Chair of the G20,” he said.
The Head of State reminded that the G20 was followed by countries with large GDP (gross domestic product), such as the United States, China, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, Britain, Brazil, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Korea and Japan.
“Remember that the G20 are countries with large GDP, countries with large GDP, large domestic product growth, in this world. Large gross domestic income,” he said.
Therefore, Jokowi asked all ranks to maintain the honor and trust given to Indonesia.
“We are already in it. So we have to really maintain the honor and trust given to our country, Indonesia. So once again, we must guard it properly,” he said.
