Jakarta – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency prepares directives for members to carry out their duties in eradicating the port mafia which results in the loss of potential state revenue (corruption).
The preparation of jukrah for members of the National Police ranks in order to follow up the request of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, who asked the Police, the KPK and the Attorney General’s Office to eradicate the port mafia.
“We are currently arranging the jukrah to the ranks with the emphasis on re-emphasizing the request of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment,” said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday.
According to Agus, while compiling the jukrah, his party did not remain silent in taking action against the port mafia by monitoring fraudulent practices that had a high cost economy at the port.
However, he continued, the action was carried out after reporting from business actors who experienced it.
“While monitoring activities for fraudulent practices that have an economic impact on high costs at ports are also carried out, it is more about having reports first from business actors who have experienced them,” he explained.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan asked the KPK, the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office together with his ministry to work together to address overlapping services at ports that could potentially lead to corruption.
“Based on the results of a field review by the Stranas PK team and the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, I received a report that there are still overlapping service systems due to the dual Inaportnet and KSOP systems and cargo ship services at the port,” said Luhut.
Stranas PK was formed in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 54 of 2018 which was later strengthened by a Joint Decree signed by five ministries and institutions that are members of the National Stranas PK Team, namely the Corruption Eradication Commission, Presidential Staff Office, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas , the Ministry of PAN-RB, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Corruption prevention efforts carried out by Stranas PK have three main focuses, namely Licensing and Commercial Administration, State Finance and Bureaucratic Reform and Law Enforcement.
