JAKARTA – The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, General TNI Andika Perkasa, is following up on the education cooperation plan between the Indonesian National Police and the Indonesian Army.
“Today we must follow up in a truly tangible form. Therefore, for the enlisted, we will do it early next year,” he said, via the TNI AD YouTube channel which was monitored in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, November 10.
He said the follow-up to the cooperation, he said, after receiving the arrival of the Head of the Indonesian Police Education and Training Institute, Commissioner General of Police Rycko Amelza Dahniel, at the TNI AD Headquarters.
The two of them met at the same time as the signing of the cooperation text between the Indonesian Army and the Indonesian Police, entitled Implementation of Integrated Activities in First Forming Education/Education, Development Education/Education for Forming Officers and General Development Education.
The integration education cooperation will not only be carried out at the middle and upper officer level, but also at the first officer level, non-commissioned officer, to enlisted.
It is planned that this integration education collaboration will begin at the end of 2021 at the level of members and non-commissioned officers of the TNI AD and Indonesian Police to Kowad and policewomen which will last for one week at the State Police School in Polda throughout Indonesia.
“All of the NCOs will be under the Kodiklat commander. Then, the Kowad NCO will also be held this year,” said Perkasa.
In line with that, the Commander of the TNI AD Kodiklat, Lieutenant General TNI AM Putranto, said this week he would immediately work and follow up on the team so that there were similarities in steps.
“It is hoped that this joint education will build a sense of togetherness and mutual understanding of each of the main tasks,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dahniel said, the cooperation is also expected to build a sense of nationality, especially a sense of solidarity and synergy between one another.
“We understand that the TNI-Polri are given the mandate as the main strength of this nation, as the main force in guarding unity, guarding the integrity of the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
