NTT – Hundreds of female police officers (Polwan) will attend the International Association Women Police (IAWP) meeting on November 6-11 in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, NTT.
IAWP itself is a non-government organization as a worldwide association of female police officers.
The Head of the Hubinter Police Division, Inspector General of Police Drs Johni Asadoma, M.Hum, Thursday (14/10/2021) said that based on the bidding at the IAWP meeting in Quito Ecuador on 5-6 March 2019, Indonesia won the bidding to host the IAWP conference. 58th year 2020.
“However, because the COVID-19 pandemic situation has not ended, the World Policewomen Conference can only be held this year, 6-11 November 2021,” said the former Deputy Head of the NTT Regional Police.
All preparations have been made to welcome the implementation of this world-class meeting.
Meruorah Hotel Labuan Bajo is prepared for training and conferences. The welcome dinner was held at the peak of Waringin.
Meanwhile, the gala dinner was centered at the Sudamala hotel. A parade of nations was also held on the main road of Labuan Bajo.
Participants are also included in the tour of Labuan Bajo, namely Batu Cermin Cave, Padar Island, Lomodo Island and Pink Beach.
Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency was chosen as the location for the international meeting due to various considerations.
“Labuan Bajo is a super priority tourist destination and has become a green zone (PPKM level 2),” said Inspector General of Police Johni Asadoma.
The 58th IAWP was attended by hundreds of participants from home and abroad, both offline and online.
There were 50 offline participants from abroad from several countries and approximately 25 observations from 17 countries, namely the US, UAE, Nigeria, UK, Ghana, Canada, Philippines, South Korea, Germany, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Turkey, New Zealand. , Timor Leste, Singapore and the Netherlands.
From within the country, 202 people participated offline and representatives from the Regional Police and the Satker at the National Police Headquarters were 3 people each.
There are 84 overseas online participants and around 500 domestic participants.
This meeting brought the theme “Woman at the center stage of policing”.
