JAYAPURA, Polri members who can donate medals at XX Papua PON will receive prizes. However, the reward is still under discussion at the Papua Regional Police.
The Papuan Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Mathius Fakhiri, admitted that he would prepare the prize for athletes who are members of the National Police who make Papua proud by donating medals.
“The Papuan Police have not yet decided what form of reward will be given to their outstanding members, it is still under discussion,” said Inspector General of Police Mathius in Jayapura City, Papua, Sunday (10/10/2021).
There were two members who won medals, namely Brigadier Tetih who got gold from rock climbing and Bripda Ludia Giay got a bronze medal from fencing.
“Both are members of the Jayapura Police,” he said.
Regarding the achievement of the Papuan contingent, Inspector General Pol Fakhiri hopes that there will be many surprises so that he can boost the position of the Bumi Cenderawasih contingent to fourth position.
The top three positions are inhabited by the West Java contingent, followed by East Java and DKI Jakarta. PON XX Papua will be closed on Friday (15/10/2021).
