PON XX/2021 which was held in Cenderawasih, Papua is still ongoing today. Police Headquarters ensures that the security situation there is conducive.
“In Papua, the implementation of the PON is still ongoing, where security is advantageous,” said Brigadier General Karo Penmas Public Relations Section of the Police Headquarters Rusdi Hartono to reporters at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/6/2021).
Brigadier General Rusdi said there was a police operation there. The operating code is Cartens 2021. Rusdi explained: “The police action code is Cartens 2021. The Police and TNI are working with other police partners to provide security for PON activities.”
In addition, during the operation, Rusdi said the operation went smoothly. The police themselves also hope that the implementation of PON can run smoothly and safely and free from interference.
“Police operations can run smoothly, and we all hope that PON Papua can run safely and achieve more advanced sports results in Indonesia,” concluded Rusdi.
