Jakarta – The National Police synergizes with the Student Executive Board (BEM) and Social and Youth Organizations (OKP) to simultaneously hold Independent Vaccination activities throughout Indonesia.
This activity was held to accelerate and achieve the targets requested by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The location of this peak event was held at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), West Java, Wednesday (22/9/2021). The event was also attended by President Jokowi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Pangdam Siliwangi Maj. Gen. Agus Subiyanto, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri, Bogor Regent Ade Yasin, and IPB Chancellor Prof. Arif Satria.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the synergy with BEM and OKP was an effort by the National Police to accelerate and achieve the vaccination target of two million doses a day.
“The Independent Vaccination is carried out simultaneously, which is a synergy between the National Police with the Student Executive Board (BEM) and the Youth and Community Organizations (OKP),” said Sigit in a written statement, today.
Sigit emphasized that the synergy with BEM and OKP can also assist the government in socializing the importance of vaccination to the public. So, he said, it is hoped that residents will not hesitate or be afraid to implement the vaccine because according to Jokowi’s directives that the key to controlling COVID-19 is the acceleration of vaccination and strict implementation of health protocols.
“So that all people know the benefits of vaccines in preventing fatalities and forms of communal immunity as preparation from a pandemic to endemic,” said Sigit.
