The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General of Police Argo Yuwono, explained that he had received a report regarding the death of the leader of the East Indonesia Mujahideen (MIT) Poso Ali Kalora in a shootout with the Madago Raya Task Force in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi.
“We have received related information,” said Argo when contacted by Antara via a short instant message, Saturday (18/9/2021)
Argo said that a formal acknowledgment could be delivered immediately by the Central Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi at the location.
According to him, currently the Central Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Pol Rudy Sufahriadi is heading to the case area (TKP) which covers a distance of about 100 km from Palu City.
“Tonight the information is that the Kapolda will hold a press conference,” said Argo.
Argo added that he was also waiting for official information from the Central Sulawesi Police Chief regarding the sequence of shootouts that killed the Poso MIT leader who was on the Central Sulawesi Police’s Wanted List (DPO).
“I’m still waiting too,” said Argo.
As previously reported, the firefight between the Madago Raya task force and the Poso terrorist DPO group occurred again on Saturday.
According to information received, in a subsequent shootout, two Poso terrorists were killed, one of whom was the leader of the Poso terrorist, Ali Ahmad, in other words Ali Kalora and one of his members, Jaka Ramadhan.
“The DPO is considered to be Ali Kalora and Jaka Ramadhan, while they are on their way to the TKP,” realized Danrem 132 Tadulako, Brigadier General Farid Makruf.
The shootout took place on Saturday at approximately 17.20 WITA in the Mountains of Astina Village, Torue District, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi.
In mid-July, the Madago Raya Task Force consisting of TNI and Polri personnel, has also taken action against three DPO MIT Poso, Central Sulawesi who were shot dead in a shootout on Sunday (11/7) and Saturday (17/7), now the number of armed civilian groups remaining six people.
With the death of the two MIT Poso DPOs, the Madago Raya Task Force was left to hunt down four other members of the other group, namely Askar with another name Jaid in other words Pak Guru, Nae with another name Galuh in other words Mukhlas, Rukli, and Suhardin in other words Hasan Pranata. .
