The Regional Police (Polda) of North Sumatra together with the police ranks have organized the Independent National Police Vaccination in the districts/cities of North Sumatra Province.
Based on the records obtained, as many as 9,705 residents in North Sumatra have participated in Phase I of the National Police’s Independent Vaccination. The areas that carried out the vaccination were 3,800 people in Medan City, 1,646 people in Deliserdang Regency.
Then, Langkat Regency as many as 441 people, Labuhanbatu Regency 3,116 people and Nias Regency as many as 702 people.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, said that the National Police’s Independent Vaccination was held simultaneously in North Sumatra on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, targeting Islamic boarding schools, houses of worship, and universities.
“The National Police’s Independent Vaccination is an effort to accelerate the recovery of national health to form herd immunity for community groups and suppress the spread of Covid-19,” he said as reported by Elshinta Contributor, Diurnawan, Saturday (11/9).
Hadi appealed to all people, even though they have been vaccinated, to always pay attention to the implementation of health protocols when they are anywhere
“If it is already vaccinated, the community is expected to continue to apply the health protocol,” he appealed.
The North Sumatra Police Chief through the Head of Public Relations expressed his gratitude to all parties who fully supported the vaccination activity.
It is hoped that the implementation of this vaccination can help the government accelerate the implementation of vaccination in Indonesia because this is one of the efforts to prevent Covid-19.
“Alhamdulillah, the implementation of the National Police’s Independent Vaccination which was held simultaneously went smoothly and all participants continued to comply with the health protocol (prokes) without any crowds,” he concluded.
