Jakarta – TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo together with Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin reviewed mass vaccinations and distribution of social assistance (bansos) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). On this occasion, Sigit reminded the public to discipline health protocols (prokes).
This mass vaccination and distribution of social assistance was held at the Kulonprogo Cultural Park auditorium, DIY, Saturday (21/8/2021). Vaccination targets the general public and adolescents aged 12-17 years with a total dose of 2,500. While the social assistance packages distributed were 2,000 packages.
On that occasion, Sigit revealed that the government continues to evaluate the implementation of level PPKM. With the implementation of routine assessments, the government has provided concessions so that people can carry out their activities.
“We know that there are some relaxations in community activities, so that people can then carry out daily activities, especially in some areas which are currently relaxed in the community sector carrying out economic activities downstream. 75,” said Sigit.
“This certainly risks increasing interactions, so that then there is the potential that the transmission of COVID-19 will increase. Therefore, our appeal is how in the midst of the existing easing situation, the community continues to carry out the prokes strongly,” said Sigit. Therefore, Sigit reminded so that the community remains disciplined in implementing prokes in their activities and especially in the economic sector. This is one of the efforts to reduce the rate of transmission of the Corona virus or COVID-19.
“The use of masks then and limits the rules related to the points that are given the freedom to really implement the rules issued by the government, the Minister of Home Affairs, so that the potential for infection or infecting the community can be really suppressed,” continued this former Police Criminal Investigation Officer.
On the other hand, regarding efforts to break the chain of the Corona virus, Sigit emphasized, the TNI-Polri and all stakeholders will continue to accelerate or accelerate mass vaccination. The goal is that the government’s target of realizing herd immunity is immediately achieved.
Therefore, Sigit asked people who have not been vaccinated not to hesitate to come to outlets that have been provided by the TNI-Polri in collaboration with the regional government. With the creation of group immunity, the people’s economic movement will recover.
“On the one hand, vaccination activities are one of the things that we have increased in these weeks and will continue to increase vaccination activities by the end of the year,” said Sigit.
In addition, Sigit invites people who have been exposed to the Corona virus to undergo treatment in a centralized isolation area (isoter). In that location, according to him, adequate facilities and health personnel have been provided.
“Then there were choices, because then the community had to choose, we recommend that it is better to carry out isoter activities. Previously, the shelter was ready, then the kelurahan was ready, the subdistrict was ready, the regent was ready. health workers, the medicine must be much better than if you carry out isoman activities,” said Sigit.
Sigit encouraged the DIY local government and all elements to help outreach to the community so that they could isolate themselves in isoter locations. This is also to protect family and relatives from exposure to the Corona virus.
