Tribratanews.polri.go.id. – Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police who initiated the Aku Sedulurmu program, to help orphans due to the loss of their parents due to Covid-19, will soon be launched.
The program in the form of providing educational assistance will officially be launched by Mrs. Juliati Sapta Dewi Magdalena or familiarly called Diana Listyo at the Patra Jasa hotel, Semarang, Monday (16/8/2021).
“Launching the Aku Sedulurmu program will at the same time strengthen Diana Listyo as a foster mother for orphans who have been affected by this pandemic,” said Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, S.H., S.St., M.K., in Semarang.
According to the Kapolda, the Aku Sedulurmu program is a form of concern and concern from the Central Java Police, to help orphans affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“So orphans who do not have a father do not have a mother, we collect data throughout Central Java, we provide education costs for elementary, middle and high school,” explained the Kapolda.
Furthermore, the Kapolda said, of the 333 orphaned children who have entered the data, it was recorded that there were three regions that had the highest number of orphans. Among them, in the districts of Sukoharjo, Klaten and Karanganyar.
In addition, educational assistance will also receive the procurement of school uniforms and shoes. Including, the procurement of books and costs incurred from school activities.
“We appeal to the public, if there are relatives or neighbors who have orphaned children because their parents died due to Covid-19, they can register with the police in their area. Hopefully, this assistance can ease their burden to continue their education,” he concluded.
