JAKARTA – TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto together with the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo reviewed the implementation of the Candi Merdeka Vaccination in Semarang, Central Java, Thursday (5/8/2021). This activity is one of the efforts to accelerate vaccination as a gift on the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (RI).
Sigit said, from the report of the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, the Merdeka Candi vaccination target until August 17, 2021, is approximately 608,000 doses per day.
“This means that in one day, 150 thousand doses of vaccination will be carried out one day. We will see the implementation,” said Sigit in his review.
Vaccination, said Sigit, is important considering the number of Covid-19 in Indonesia is still quite high. Various efforts and steps have been taken by the Government. All of that, to suppress the rate of growth and save people from the corona virus.
“This is done to suppress the rate of Covid-19 so that it can be controlled,” he said.
The former Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police said that on the other hand, the community’s economy, exports, imports and critical and essential companies can run by complying with health protocols and discipline.
Then another strategy is how to implement a good 3T and this step is being implemented in the field so that it can be improved and increased so that the death rate will decrease.
“Third, how to accelerate mass vaccination. The President said some time ago that the target to be achieved in August is 2 million,” said Sigit.
Therefore, at this moment of Indonesia’s independence day, the former Banten Police Chief hopes that this target will be achieved so that Herd Immunity will soon be formed.
“We want this vaccination acceleration to really be carried out by taking the moment that is on Independence Day and we hope that independent vaccination can really accelerate vaccination activities,” said Sigit.
Meanwhile, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto asked all components of the nation’s children to unite together against COVID-19.
“The key is togetherness. All components of society together have a collective awareness, namely the 3M and 3T disciplines,” he said.
In the independent vaccination of this temple, there are 951 vaccination booths spread across the Resort Police, Kodim, Public Health Centers and Hospitals in Central Java.
A total of 7,587 vaccinators were involved both from the TNI, Polri and volunteer health workers. Today’s target is 153,800 doses of vaccine to be injected into the community.
The target for August 6 to 17, 2021 is 76,000 doses/day with a final target of 685,800 doses of vaccine.
