Serang, Beritasatu.com – The TNI and Polri will assist health workers in the context of accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination in Banten. It is hoped that the national vaccination target and herd immunity can be achieved soon. This was conveyed by the TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto while reviewing the vaccination center at Tirtayasa University (Untirta), Serang, Banten, Sunday (18/7/2021).
“Thus, we are able to protect our communities in the Banten area,” Hadi said.
The vaccination was held in the Untirta hall under the coordination of Korem 064 MY and the Banten Police. The target is 4,000 people using the Sinovac vaccine. As for the health workers who are seconded by the TNI as many as 25 people, the Police 10 people, and the Banten Health Service as many as 20 people.
Present with the TNI Commander, National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito, Banten Governor Wahidin Halim, Commander III/Slw Major General TNI Nugroho Budi Wiryanto, and Banten Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Heriyanto.
On that occasion, the TNI Commander said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had provided free medical aid to people who carried out self-isolation (or a.k.a isoman). The distribution will be arranged in stages by involving Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas and puskesmas officers.
“This is very important, and we hope that people who are implementing self-reliance can recover soon because of the free medicine,” said Hadi.
Hadi also reminded the public to jointly apply the discipline of health protocols, namely by using masks.
“95% of us will be protected from exposure to Covid-19, if we use masks. The media should continue to encourage the use of masks to the village level, because the problem now is that the cluster is a family cluster,” added Hadi.
Hadi also appealed to Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas to always remind the public regarding the use of masks.
“If we want to be protected from exposure to Covid-19, the key is to wear a mask after that we are vaccinated, so we have immunity, we have endurance, if we are attacked by the so-called Covid-19,” said Hadi.
The TNI Commander and the National Police Chief released a social aid package (bansos) to the community symbolically carried out by Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas at the Untirta GOR yard. The total social aid distributed was 136 tons of rice and 150,000 food packages.
Meanwhile, the drug package warehouse at the Serang Kodim was distributed to isoman residents. The details are 790 isoman II packages and 790 isoman III packages. In addition, the Kodim also independently provided other medicines and light medical devices.
