Solopos.com, KLATEN – The Head of the Klaten Resort Police (or a.k.a Kapolres Klaten), AKBP Edy Suranta Sitepu, directly monitored the implementation of the TNI-Polri Covid-19 Vaccination Raid at the Sunan Pandanaran Building, Bersinar Regency, Saturday (17/7/2021).
A total of approximately 1,000 people from 26 sub-districts in Klaten participated in the vaccination campaign. It is hoped that this activity can build community immunity in Klaten in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Based on Solopos.com’s monitoring, the participants for the Covid-19 vaccination had been first recorded at each Polsek in Klaten. Participants were re-recorded and then required to follow the screening stages before being injected with the vaccine and post-vaccination observation.
In order to ensure that the Vaccination Raid went smoothly, the Klaten Police Chief also arranged for vaccination participants to keep their distance and avoid crowds. While holding his baton, AKBP Edy Suranta Sitepu helped organize the participants to be orderly and queue.
“The implementation of the Vaccination Raid in Klaten went smoothly. Through this vaccination, it is hoped that citizens’ immunity will be formed in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said AKBP Edy Suranta Sitepu, when met by reporters at the Sunan Pandanaran Building, Klaten, Saturday (17/7/2021).
AKBP Edy Suranta Sitepu said the attack on vaccinations would continue to be carried out by the security forces. So far, the vaccinations that have been carried out by the Klaten Police have targeted up to 6,000 people in Bersinar Regency.
“Besides this, we are also holding a Vaccination Raid at the Klaten Police Headquarters. Every day around 300-400 people. Our goal is as much as possible. The registrants can go through the respective Polsek in collaboration with sub-districts and villages. This vaccination is for the public,” he said.
Benefits of the Klaten Vaccination Raid
One of the participants of the Covid-19 vaccination, Nur Muhammad, 43, said he was happy after undergoing the first stage of vaccination. Nur Muhammad admitted that he was more calm in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The implementation of this vaccination is very orderly. You see, the police and the army are directly monitoring them. Everything has to be done,” he said.
The Health Handling Coordinator of the Klaten PP Covid-19 Task Force, Cahyono Widodo, said that the cumulative Covid-19 in Klaten had reached 23,365 cases. A total of 5,168 people underwent treatment/self-isolation. Then 16,773 people were declared cured. There are 1,424 people who have died.
