Jakarta, CNN Indonesia — The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police has added blocking points during the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in several provinces to 998 points. Previously, there were 651 blocking points on Wednesday (7/7).
“There are 998 points or locations on the toll, non-toll and port routes on the Lampung, Java and Bali routes,” said Head of the Operations Section of the National Police Korlantas, Kombes Rudi Antariksawan when confirmed, Wednesday (14/7).
According to him, the addition of the isolation point was also carried out to anticipate community mobility during the Eid al-Adha day.
Rudi explained that the only vehicles that could pass through the isolation points were those that were in essential and critical sectors.
The essential sectors consist of: finance and banking; capital market; payment system; information and communication technology; hotels that do not handle Covid-19 quarantine; and export-oriented industries.
Then, the critical sectors are: energy, health, security, logistics and transportation, food industry, petrochemicals, cement, national vital objects, disaster management, national strategic projects, construction, basic utilities, and basic daily fulfillment industries.
“Based on the Instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs on Emergency PPKM, SE of the Covid-19 Task Force, SE of the Minister of Transportation on Emergency PPKM and provisions for domestic travel,” he said.
During PPKM, the Ministry of Transportation previously required two documents that were a requirement for travellers.
