Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – The National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo has advised 700 prospective youth officers (Capaja) TNI-Polri 2021 not to forget the history of TNI-Polri harmonization in the past.
This was conveyed by Sigit when briefing 700 TNI-Polri Capaja virtually at Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday (7/7/2021).
The former Banten Police Chief is of the view that the TNI-Polri are state institutions that have a long historical journey, starting from the period of independence to the reformation era.
“Even though they have been separated, in essence the TNI and Polri are still one unit, as the front guard in protecting the entire Indonesian nation and all of Indonesia’s bloodshed,” said Sigit.
The former Police Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit gave an example, such as in handling the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia.
According to Sigit, the TNI and Polri are currently at the forefront of dealing with COVID-19. In addition, Sigit also appealed to the hundreds of Capaja to be prepared to face all challenges and threats that could disrupt public security and order, both nationally and globally.
“Understand the challenges of an increasingly complex and uncertain task,” he said.
