Jakarta (ANTARA) – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto provide direction and motivation to TNI-Polri soldiers serving in the Nemangkawi Task Force in Papua .
The National Police Chief, in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, gave a special message to the Nemangkawi Task Force, apart from being in charge of securing, also guarding the government’s agenda in developing Papua.
“It is the duty of all (soldiers) to guard to inform the construction that has been carried out. Map well what the Papuan people need, ”said Sigit.
Sigit emphasized that the central government is very concerned and focused on developing Papua to be more prosperous.
“The government is very concerned about building Papua like infrastructure development. Indeed, what the government has done has not been fully felt by all Papuan people, “he said.
Therefore, the former Banten Police Chief reminded the members of the Nemangkawi Task Force to convey to the community that their presence was to support government programs in Papua.
The National Police Chief and the TNI Commander make a joint working visit in Papua. During the working visit, a meeting was held with community leaders in Bumi Cendrawasih, Wednesday (26/5).
The meeting with religious leaders, traditional leaders and also Papuan community leaders took place in private. During the meeting, he also touched on the issue of the Special Autonomy Bill or Special Autonomy.
Regarding the Special Autonomy Bill, Sigit emphasized that it should be properly guarded so that the government’s efforts to improve the welfare of the Papuan people are right on target.
Meanwhile, TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto appealed to all personnel on duty on Bumi Cendrawasih to have a special formula on how to win the hearts of the Papuan people so that they will continue to love the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The Commander also asked all elements of the personnel tasked with increasing synergy so that the welfare of the Papuan people is felt more quickly.
