The XVIII/Casuari Military Commander, Major General TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa together with the West Papua Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Tornagogo Sihombing directly led the troop deployment ceremony for the working visit (Kunker) of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma’ruf Amin which was scheduled to close the National Sports Week aka PON XX Papua 2021 .
The apple ceremony was held at the Makodam XVIII/Kasuari ceremony field, Trikora, Arfai 1, Manokwari, West Papua, Wednesday (13/10).
In his direction, Nyoman said, this task is an honor to carry out the mission of securing the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia to Manokwari, West Papua.
“This task must really count, we count seconds by second, minute by minute and hour by hour and make sure the VVIP object is safe, safe and its activities run smoothly. The duty of honor must be answered with hard work,” he urged when giving directions.
He emphasized that the task was carried out properly by maintaining the trust of the leadership and did not forget he ordered all personnel to keep praying to God so that activities can run safely and smoothly.
“There must be dynamics in the field, I ask the commanders to be quick in making decisions,” he said.
“Those who are in direct contact with the community, I ask them to carry out their duties humanely but firmly and make sure that all vehicles that will be used are ready to be used,” he added.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, the Kapolda Tornagogo said that the task was one of the ways for the leadership to determine loyalty, integrity, and respect for the TNI-Polri.
“This moment is an undeniable synergy between the TNI and Polri. These two institutions are a true synergy, so we must complement each other,” said Tornagogo.
After giving the directions, the Pangdam and Kapolda also directly checked the readiness of personnel from each section to make sure everything went well.
In addition, a vehicle check is also carried out to be used in PAM VVIP duties to ensure that everything is ready for operation. Including a number of tactical vehicles on standby for site security.
Previously, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin was scheduled to close the National Sports Week aka PON XX Papua 2021 at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency, Friday (15/10).
“We have coordinated with a number of parties such as the Governor of Papua, the Executive Board of PON, and the Indonesian National Sports Committee,” said Chairman of the Committee for the Closing Ceremony of XX Papua PON M. Umar Reliubun in a written statement from PB PON, Tuesday (12/10).
Umar said the closing ceremony of the national multi-sports event would be different from the opening ceremony because there was a limit on the number of dancers, namely 200 people.
However, the ceremony, which will be held at 19.00 WIT, will also be enlivened by a number of local and national celebrities and a fireworks display as contained in the opening ceremony.
