Registration for 2025 Beasiswa Unggulan Now Open, Here’s What You Need to Know

Jakarta – The Ministry of Education, through the Center for Education Financing Services (Puslapdik), officially opened the registration for the 2025 Beasiswa Unggulan scholarship program from July 14 to July 27, 2025. This program targets high-achieving individuals, including persons with disabilities, and employees of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

The registration period is limited to two weeks only. Applicants are advised to access the official and updated registration site at: beasiswaunggulan.kemendikdasmen.go.id. Please note that the old link, beasiswa.kemdikbud.go.id, is no longer in use.

Benefits and Scholarship Types

Beasiswa Unggulan covers full tuition fees for D4, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, along with monthly living allowances and book stipends. For persons with disabilities, additional support such as companion stipends and research funds is provided.

This scholarship is valid for both domestic and international universities, as long as they are accredited at least “B” (Very Good) or officially recognized by the Indonesian Ministry of Education for foreign institutions.

Scholarship Categories:

• High-Achieving Individuals: Aimed at those with proven intellectual, emotional, and spiritual capabilities.

• Persons with Disabilities: Included under high-achievers with additional requirements.

• Ministry Employees: Available for improving the quality of human resources in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

2025 Beasiswa Unggulan Timeline:

• Registration: July 14–27, 2025

• Administrative Selection: July 28 – August 10, 2025

• Announcement of Admin Results: August 11, 2025*

• Interview Selection: August 18 – September 16, 2025*

• Final Announcement: September 17, 2025*

General Requirements:

1. Recommendation letter from a relevant institution

2. Not currently receiving another similar scholarship

3. Must not have previously completed the same level of education

4. Accepted into an accredited university (min. “B” or equivalent)

5. Not a lecturer, teacher, education personnel, or cultural worker

6. Preferably from regular classes with national/international achievement certificates

Specific Requirements by Program Level:

Bachelor’s (S1) / D4:

• Graduated within the past 2 years

• Minimum GPA of 2.75 (for ongoing students)

• LoA or proof of active enrollment

• Essay: 1,000–1,500 words

• UKBI and English language certificates (for overseas applicants)

Master’s (S2):

• Maximum age: 32/33 years

• Minimum GPA of 3.00

• Essay: 1,500–2,000 words

• Study plan

• LoA or proof of active enrollment

• UKBI and English language certificates (for overseas applicants)

Doctorate (S3):

• Maximum age: 46/47 years

• Minimum GPA of 3.00

• Essay: 1,500–2,000 words

• Dissertation proposal

• LoA or proof of active enrollment

• UKBI and English language certificates (for overseas applicants)

Additional Requirements for Applicants with Disabilities:

• Certificate of disability from an authorized doctor/expert/institution

• GPA: Minimum 3.25 (Master’s) and 3.40 (Doctorate) for ongoing students

• Personal statement for special needs students

• Achievement certificate (if available)

• LoA or proof of active enrollment

• Essay: 1,500–2,000 words

• Age limit according to program level

• Other requirements as listed in the official guidelines

2. Complete the application form and upload the required documents, including:

   • ID card (KTP), tax ID (NPWP)

   • Student card (if ongoing), LoA or proof of enrollment

   • Academic transcripts, diplomas

   • UKBI and English certificates

   • Study plan/dissertation proposal

   • Recommendation and personal statements

   • Achievement certificates (if available)

   • For persons with disabilities: disability certificate and supporting documents as required

Scholarship Duration:

• High-Achieving Individuals:

  • D4/Bachelor’s: Maximum 8 semesters

  • Master’s: Maximum 4 semesters

  • Doctorate: Maximum 6 semesters

• Persons with Disabilities:

  • Master’s: Max 4 semesters (extendable up to 2 semesters)

  • Doctorate: Max 6 semesters (extendable up to 2 semesters)
