Jakarta – The Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) Phase II is rumored to be disbursed in early July 2025, raising hopes among workers earning below Rp3.5 million per month who are entitled to receive Rp600,000 in cash assistance.
So, is it true that BSU Phase II will be distributed in early July?
According to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), disbursement for Phase I took place on June 24 and reached 2,450,068 workers across the country.
Kemnaker spokesperson Yassierli explained that for Phase II, the Social Security Administration Agency for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) has submitted data on approximately 4.5 million potential recipients. The data is currently undergoing verification and validation.
BSU Aims to Support Low-Income Workers
“The BSU targets workers earning below Rp3.5 million or those receiving wages under the provincial minimum wage (UMP). This assistance is crucial for them,” Yassierli stated.
He added that based on previous discussions with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the BSU has proven to be effective in boosting the purchasing power of workers, which in turn supports national economic growth.
Yassierli also emphasized that the disbursement process is conducted carefully and in full compliance with regulations. He ensured that there will be no deductions from the assistance received by beneficiaries, and the process is carried out transparently.
