Jakarta — Indonesia’s head coach, Patrick Kluivert, has officially announced the final squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifier match against China. The match is scheduled to take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on Thursday, June 5, 2025, with kickoff at 8:45 PM local time.
The final list includes 10 players from Indonesia’s domestic league, Liga 1, including Ramadhan Sananta, who now plays for DPMM FC in Brunei. This marks a noticeable shift compared to the previous match against Australia.
Five players from the previous squad—Jordi Amat, Shayne Pattynama, Pratama Arhan, Asnawi Mangkualam, and Reza Arya Pratama—were dropped from the final roster for the match against China.
Several Liga 1 players are featured in the lineup, including Yakob Sayuri, Yance Sayuri, Nadeo Argawinata, Egy Maulana Vikri, Stefano Lilipaly, Beckham Putra, and Ramadhan Sananta. This is a significant increase from just five local players included in the Australia match.
This decision aligns with Kluivert’s earlier statement about his intention to provide more opportunities for players from the local league.
“In this edition of Garuda Calling, I’ve selected several local players. I believe they deserve the call-up because they’ve proven they can do great things,” said Kluivert in a video released by the Indonesian national team.
“If they continue to perform, they’ll certainly have a chance to stay with the national team,” he added.
