IDNAround – Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati attended the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in Gujarat, India. In her personal Instagram, Sri revealed that the third meeting would discuss global economic conditions and policy responses.
“We will discuss various matters related to sustainable finance and digital technology as showcasing advantages, and of course, various important issues such as global taxation,” Sri wrote on Monday, July 17, 2023.
The state treasurer said Indonesia would continue to play an active role in global forums, especially to ensure that global policies could be anticipated and managed while maintaining the country’s interests at the global level.
According to Minister Sri, these years are crucial as the world is in a weak situation in the wake of the ongoing geopolitical conflict that had an impact on the weakening economy. This condition is fragmented which must be understood and managed properly.
“Indonesia continues to improve its economic performance, which during meetings with various parties has always been considered as one of the countries with very good economic and financial performance,” Sri said.
She also said that the Indonesian government would work hard to maintain the economy and state budget. “I will report about today’s meeting and the next two days,” she added.
“We will continue to work hard for Indonesia, for the world!” Sri Mulyani said.
