The Excitement of the Gala Dinner at the G20 Summit in Bali: Enjoying Various Regional Dances

IDNAround – A gala dinner with state leaders and invited guests closed the agenda for the G20 Summit on the first day, Tuesday (15/11/2022). The Indonesian government has prepared a special banquet as well as a cultural performance at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) to accompany heads of state and delegates to the G20 Summit during the gala dinner.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) has been chosen as the venue for the gala dinner for the G20 Summit delegates because GWK is one of the favorite destinations on the island of Bali.

During the gala dinner, cultural performances in the form of dances such as the Garuda Paksi, Kecak and Bujang Ganong dances were performed on the first occasion with the theme ‘Challenge’, secondly ‘Nature and thirdly ‘Recover Together’.

In the third show with the theme ‘Recover Together’, featuring typical Indonesian drums, namely the Sunda Kendang, Beleq, and Dol. Betawi Mask Dance, Belian Bawo, Randai, Lala Dance, Papua Dance, Fan Dance and Umbrella Dance accompanied by the song Beautiful Night and dangdut music. In addition, there was a performance of the song Damai, which was accompanied by the deer, halibut, butterfly and hornbill dances.

In this gala dinner, Indonesian officials wore batik. Leaders of G20 member countries and other invited guests were also seen wearing batik. The G20 Summit takes place in Bali on November 15-16. There were 17 countries that attended this forum.
