IDNAround — Jakarta’s 495th Anniversary falls on this day, Wednesday (June 22, 2022). The DKI Provincial Government also provides free transportation services to entrance tickets to a number of museums in Jakarta.Citing the DKI Provincial Government’s Instagram account, @dkijakarta, the free museum service will be implemented in 11 museums under the management of the DKI Jakarta Cultural Service.
The 11 museums include, Jakarta History Museum, Joang 45 Museum, Inscription Museum, MH Thamrin Museum, Textile Museum. Then, the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics, Wayang Museum, Maritime Museum, Onrust Archaeological Park, Si Pitung Museum, and Betawi Setu Babakan Museum.
Not only that, all passengers can enjoy Transjakarta, LRT, and MRT services for free, aka free of charge today.
Charge-Free Terms
This is stated in the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Office Number e-0076 of 2022 concerning the Assignment of Special Service Fares for Transjakarta Public Transportation, Jakarta MRT, and Jakarta LRT in the Framework of the 495th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta.
The regulation was set by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Office, Syafrin Liputo, on Tuesday (June 21, 2022). Free services for Transjakarta, Jakarta MRT, and Jakarta LRT passengers are valid from 12.00 AM to 11.59 PM.
“Assigning PT Transportasi Jakarta, PT MRT Jakarta, and PT LRT Jakarta to organize mass public transportation services on June 22 from 12.00 AM to 11.59 PM with fare provision is IDR 0 for taking Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta,” reads the regulation, quoted on Tuesday (June 21, 2022).
Zero Rupiah Charge
The zero rupiah charge also applies to microtrans services, flat services, tour buses, Transjakarta cares, and other Jakarta transportation assignments in accordance with the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Office.
Eventually, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency will cover all costs related to the implementation of the assignment of free service fares for Transjakarta to MRT passengers. The cost will be provided by the subsidy mechanism.
