Deputy Chairman of Commission VI Mohamad Hekal emphasized that PT RNI is also expected to be active and strategic in realizing Indonesia’s food sovereignty.
“Commission VI asks PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) along with PT Sang Hyang Seri, PT Berdikari, PT Perindo, PT PPI, and PT Garam to ensure that the establishment of a food SOE holding or ID Food is able to raise the brand of a world-class national food producer. “Hekal said during a hearing with the President Director of PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) at Nusantara I Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (February 17, 2022).
Hekal said his party also urged RNI to synergize between state-owned companies in creating an agricultural production ecosystem by presenting holistic solutions through the ‘Prosperous Program’. Then, Id Food is expected to be able to provide written and periodic reports on the restructuring plan of the company’s children and grandchildren that are included in the second wave transformation.
The report, said Hekal, includes financial reports, evaluation results of business refocusing programs, corporate actions such as divestment, asset management, mergers, inbreng and acquisitions, so that the process can take place effectively according to a predetermined schedule. “Commission VI asked Id Food to submit a strategic blueprint for the transformation of the flagship product brand (Rania),” said Hekal.
Regarding this, the President Director of RNI, Arief Prasetyo Hadi, said that his party would follow the inputs and directions given by the members and leaders of Commission VI. And hopes that Commission VI can continue to provide support to the BUMN food holding.
