Jakarta – Ditresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya together with Customs and Excise DKI Jakarta succeeded in dismantling the distribution of methamphetamine and Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LCD) by the international network of Congo-Uganda, Canada and China which was revealed from mid-November to Wednesday (12/8/21).

Mukti Juharsa explained that the suspects acted through the mode of ordering and shipping goods from abroad. “The mode is ordering goods from abroad, especially from China, Uganda, Canada and Africa,” he explained at the Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday (12/9/21).
“The evidence that was successfully secured was 16.88 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and around 800 pieces of LSD,” explained the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes. Pol. Endra Zulpan in a press conference, Thursday (9/12/21).
Comr. Comr. Pol. Endra Zulpan explained that in this disclosure, his party cooperated with customs and it was known that the modus operandi of the perpetrators in this case was various, one of which was smuggling in a ball.
“Then we have secured and arrested and detained 39 suspects. With the amount of drugs that we managed to reveal, we managed to save the younger generation as many as 85,000 people,” explained Kabidhumas.
Comr. Comr. Pol. Endra Zulpan explained that during the delivery of the goods, methamphetamine and LSD were smuggled through a number of items, one of which was vehicle spare parts. “To trick the officers, they are usually smuggled in some items such as spare parts and other tools. Maybe we don’t believe it, but it turns out that the spare parts contain narcotics,” he explained.
Kabidhumas emphasized that his party will continue to coordinate with Customs and Excise to carry out surveillance and disclosure related to the international narcotics smuggling network. “Of course, this prevention effort requires the synergy of all parties, including the community and parents at home to provide understanding to families regarding the dangers of drugs,” he explained.
In this case, the 39 suspects are suspected of being under the Narcotics Law Number 35 of 2009, Article 114 paragraph 2, Article 112 paragraph 2 and Article 111 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 132, Law Number 35 of 2009 with a minimum penalty of 5 years imprisonment up to death penalty.
