The XX PON weightlifting competition, which began in Papua on Wednesday (10 June), is closely guarded by the TNI-Polri and other units.
Papua Police Public Relations Kamal Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal who is in charge of weightlifting said that the match was held at the Auditorium of Shendravasi University Jayapura and was attended by 40 people.
Before the start of the match, the surrounding area is disinfected so that the organizers and other management personnel can enter the room.
The committee also provides a place or table for antigen testing before residents enter the venue, and prepares masks and hand sanitizers for public use.
“The health agreement related to Covid-19 is valid for residents who want to watch,” said Kamal.
In addition, each entrance is guarded by someone to check the audience’s belongings to ensure that no prohibited items enter the arena.
The audience was also limited because only 250 seats were provided from the building’s capacity, Kombes Kamal said.
