Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) invites Polri to participate in overseeing the use of village funds. “Gus Minister (Mendes PDTT Abdul Halim Iskandar) asked the Chief of Police and his staff to remain provide support and escort to the Ministry of Health PDTT, especially village funds, “said Plt. Director General of Village and Rural Development, Rosyidah Rachmawati in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
He conveyed that Gus Minister’s request was made when he met the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the Police Headquarters, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday (25/5).
During the meeting, Gus the Minister was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health of the PDTT, Taufik Madjid, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Health, PDTT, Ekatmawati.
Rosyidah who also participated in the meeting also said that the Minister Gus appreciated the Chief of Police and his staff who had been helping, accompanying and supporting the Ministry of Health PDTT in guarding village funds.
In the meeting, he continued, Gus Minister explained the priority of the use of village funds in 2021 which is directed towards achieving SDGS Desa.
“Gus Minister also conveyed that related to BUMDes legal entities, which are now legally recognized, their legal entities have been recognized as legal entities with the existence of the Job Creation Law,” he said.
Apart from supporting the Ministry of Health’s PDTT programs as a form of Polri’s service to the community and villages, he added, the National Police would also launch a Justice Restoration program.
In this program, he said, the National Police would provide assistance to the community. The Justice Restoration Program prioritizes prevention rather than handling cases so that how a case does not occur in the legal channels.
The Justice Restoration Program prioritizes justice for both parties in trouble rather than being brought to justice. For example, if there is theft of chickens in the village, it will be resolved by custom, without having to proceed to legal channels.
“Gus the Minister welcomes the National Police Justice Restoration program and will socialize it in the villages, because this program is in accordance with the SDGs Desa goals 18, dynamic village institutions and adaptive village culture, ”said Rosyidah.
