JAKARTA Social Assistance to the- At least 127 cases related to the misuse of Covid-19 social assistance funds (bansos) have been prosecuted by the National Police in 100 days of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s performance as Chief of Police.
Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, conveyed that the action against the perpetrators who played in social assistance was a form of national economic recovery (PEN) in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“So the existing data shows that from the National Economic Recovery activities, there are 127 enforcement of social assistance funds throughout Indonesia,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono at the Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (17/5/2021).
Apart from that, said Argo, his party also handled 25 cases related to insurance and investment. Then, 42 cases related to the price of basic commodities, and 36 others related to non-staple goods.
Furthermore, his party also took action against 2 cases related to cases related to industry. Next, 15 cases related to consumer protection.
“We have done this to relate to PEN,” he said.
However, the National Police did not explain in more detail the number of suspects or the status of the case.
