Merdeka.com – The National Police acknowledges that the Hand-Catch Operation (OTT) of Nganjuk Regent Novi Rahman Hidayat (NRH) is the first collaboration with theEradication CorruptionCommission (KPK) in terms of arrest regional heads related to criminal acts of corruption.
“The coordination that has emerged between the KPK and the police and this method is a synergy of this new coordination, which we are with the KPK and the police in an arrest of the regional head,” said Head of Public Relations of the National Police, Inspector General Prabowo Argo Yuwono at the National Police Headquarters. , Jakarta South, Tuesday (11/5/2021).
According to Argo, the cooperation was initiated with reports of alleged corruption in the Nganjuk Regency Government that were included in the Police and the KPK. From there, the two agencies immediately coordinated the follow-up.
“There have been several times communication related to data collection and processing, for example relating to the law at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), we can intercept or tap, yes we communicate with the KPK there, we provide information to each other by existing data and we have also processed it the data, and together we also made arrests to Nganjuk, “he explained.
Argo said that the coordination between the National Police and the Corruption Eradication Commission was not only once or twice. Communication was carried out between investigators up to four times, especially in terms of analyzing the alleged criminal acts committed by the Nganjuk Regent.
